Easy Access Information

Wet Rooms

We currently have 12 wet rooms at the Manor and 4 at Ashbury. All of these rooms are suitable for wheelchair users and have a full shower room with no steps, a seat and grab rail in the shower, and bars and rails for the toilet. Due to such high demand for these rooms, we are in the process of converting more bathrooms into wet rooms. 

Walk-In Showers

We also have a number of exceptionally well fitted walk in showers with a seat and grab rails. Whilst not suitable for wheelchair users, due to a small step into the shower, they are ideal for guests with limited mobility. 


Ground Floor Rooms

We are currently in the process of adding grab rails to all of our ground floor rooms making them more suitable for guests who just need a little more help and support getting around the bathroom and into the bath/shower.


Mobility Scooters

To assist guests with limited mobility we have 5 wheelchairs and 10 mobility scooters available. Blue badge holders are able to pre-book these prior to arrival - a charge of £5 will apply, in addition to a £10 deposit. All other guests are able to hire these, for a small charge, on a first come - first served basis once they arrive at the hotels.

£3 per day (£10 deposit applies) 

Easy Access Pool Ramp

We are delighted to announce the development of our Manor Pool to include an Easy Access Ramp to allow those with mobility difficulties the ability to enjoy a range of hydro activities including pool walking.

*Requests for Wet Rooms / Assistance Showers will be charged a 5% supplement. On presentation of a blue badge, or similar, this supplement will be removed.

Given the limited number of wet rooms / assistance showers available, we charge 5% to deter those who do not require the facilties. No charge is made for guests (ie blue badge holders) that do require the facilities.

AA Quality Standards Report




We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded 3 stars!

Following our continued efforts to improve our hotels and maintain our high level of service and hospitality, we recently had our AA quality inspection and are pleased to announce that we were awarded 3 stars at both hotels.

The inspection entails an undercover AA inspector taking a night’s stay in our hotels. They then rate our hospitality, service and food, amongst many other standards, and award a score as a measure of our overall performance. 

We must state, that as part of these assessments there is no section takes into account the unrivalled sports, craft, leisure and spa facilities we proudly offer. We therefore are only marked on our hotel standards which include service, cleanliness, bedrooms, public areas and food, amongst others. Nevertheless, we received a very positive report and below are some of the comments made by the AA inspector:

Cleanliness – “very good levels on cleanliness throughout

Service & Hospitality – “very good check-inalong with "Polite and professional service throughout"

Food – “All meals prepared with a good level of skill/care/presentation”
